A free climber who was jailed for scaling the UK’s tallest building has climbed another high-rise in London.
George King, 21, reached the top of Stratosphere Tower in Stratford, east London, on Tuesday morning.
Residents were seen photographing him from their apartment windows as he made his way up the 39-storey, 117-metre block wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
The daredevil stretched out his arms as he walked the length of a small platform at the top of the block.
He appeared not to have any ropes or suction pads to assist him on his ascent, mirroring his stunt at the 306-metre Shard in 2019.
In April, King also put his life at risk by scaling a 116-metre Barcelona hotel with no safety equipment.
He was jailed for 24 weeks in 2019 after breaching an injunction order imposed by the owners of the Shard. Metropolitan Police officers met him at the top of the tower after he completed his 45-minute climb.
King was initially charged with public nuisance and trespass but the charges were dropped. The Shard’s owner pursued its own legal proceedings.
His parents, Hilary and Clive, said their son climbed the skyscraper to get a “message across to everyone to follow your passion”.
After his release from prison in January 2020, King said he “would never let adversity extinguish my spirit”.
His Instagram features a number of adrenaline-pumping videos, including one of himself filmed on the roof of a moving train in Berlin. He has similar photos taken on top of trains in Denmark and the UK.
King was the main subject of a documentary for Britain’s Channel 4 in 2020 called The Boy who Climbed the Shard.

How has net migration to UK changed?
The figure was broadly flat immediately before the Covid-19 pandemic, standing at 216,000 in the year to June 2018 and 224,000 in the year to June 2019.
It then dropped to an estimated 111,000 in the year to June 2020 when restrictions introduced during the pandemic limited travel and movement.
The total rose to 254,000 in the year to June 2021, followed by steep jumps to 634,000 in the year to June 2022 and 906,000 in the year to June 2023.
The latest available figure of 728,000 for the 12 months to June 2024 suggests levels are starting to decrease.

Teaching your child to save
Pre-school (three - five years)
You can’t yet talk about investing or borrowing, but introduce a “classic” money bank and start putting gifts and allowances away. When the child wants a specific toy, have them save for it and help them track their progress.
Early childhood (six - eight years)
Replace the money bank with three jars labelled ‘saving’, ‘spending’ and ‘sharing’. Have the child divide their allowance into the three jars each week and explain their choices in splitting their pocket money. A guide could be 25 per cent saving, 50 per cent spending, 25 per cent for charity and gift-giving.
Middle childhood (nine - 11 years)
Open a bank savings account and help your child establish a budget and set a savings goal. Introduce the notion of ‘paying yourself first’ by putting away savings as soon as your allowance is paid.

Discuss post-graduation plans and future life goals, quantify expenses such as first apartment, work wardrobe, holidays and help them continue to save towards these goals.

Hydrogen has an estimated $11 trillion market potential, according to Bank of America Securities and is expected to generate $2.5tn in direct revenues and $11tn of indirect infrastructure by 2050 as its production increases six-fold.
