A new photo released by the Carter Centre shows US President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden at the Georgia home of former presidential couple Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter.
Mr Biden and the first lady had been in Georgia to attend a rally in Atlanta, where the president outlined his plans to revamp the economy after his first 100 days in office.
Before the rally, the Bidens met the Carters at their residence in the tiny city of Plains, where Mr Carter was born. Though some photos of their meeting outside the home were released, this is the first showing both couples together in an intimate setting.
The new photo has been shared thousands of times on social media, with many expressing their happiness at seeing the two presidential families together.
"America and the world owes a great debt of gratitude to the Carters," said one Facebook user. "A living example of faith and charity. Terrific to see that recognised by the Bidens."
Others have expressed some confusion and amusement over how the camera angle has made the Carters look abnormally small compared to the Bidens.
"I've been staring at this photo for three hours," said one Twitter user. "I've got to go to bed. Back at it tomorrow."
"Are they very small or is this a forced perspective thing like Lord of the Rings?" another user asked.
Mr Carter, a Democrat, served as president from 1977 to 1981.
Mr Carter and Mr Biden have a decades-long alliance, with Mr Biden supporting Mr Carter's bid for president when he was serving as a first-term senator from Delaware.

UN Panel of Experts found regime secretly sold a fifth of the country's gold reserves.
The panel’s 2017 report followed a trail to West Africa where large sums of cash and gold were hidden by Abdullah Al Senussi, Qaddafi’s former intelligence chief, in 2011.
Cases filled with cash that was said to amount to $560m in 100 dollar notes, that was kept by a group of Libyans in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
A second stash was said to have been held in Accra, Ghana, inside boxes at the local offices of an international human rights organisation based in France.
Two-step truce
The UN-brokered ceasefire deal for Hodeidah will be implemented in two stages, with the first to be completed before the New Year begins, according to the Arab Coalition supporting the Yemeni government.
By midnight on December 31, the Houthi rebels will have to withdraw from the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Issa and Al Saqef, coalition officials told The National.
The second stage will be the complete withdrawal of all pro-government forces and rebels from Hodeidah city, to be completed by midnight on January 7.
The process is to be overseen by a Redeployment Co-ordination Committee (RCC) comprising UN monitors and representatives of the government and the rebels.
The agreement also calls the deployment of UN-supervised neutral forces in the city and the establishment of humanitarian corridors to ensure distribution of aid across the country.

Hydrogen: Market potential
Hydrogen has an estimated $11 trillion market potential, according to Bank of America Securities and is expected to generate $2.5tn in direct revenues and $11tn of indirect infrastructure by 2050 as its production increases six-fold.
