Israel launched an overnight raid in Gaza after it said gunfire from the territory targeted its soldiers and damaged a building.
"The Israeli army struck targets belonging to Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip, including terrorist infrastructure and weapons-making facilities," the military said in a statement.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said one man sustained moderate injuries from shrapnel, but did not confirm whether he was inside a targeted site or nearby.

At least 60 Palestinians were killed and more than 2,000 injured by Israeli gunfire during protests in Gaza against the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem — a move that reversed decades of US foreign policy and that was criticised by the UK, France and Russia. A Hamas official said that 50 of those killed were members of the group.
Israeli forces killed 60 people on Monday, and two more Palestinians were killed on Tuesday as they marked the Nakba, or catastrophe, commemorating the more than 700,000 Palestinians who were forced to flee or expelled from their homes in 1948.
Arab countries also condemned the move, warning against a "serious escalation".
On Wednesday, Palestine urged the Arab League to intervene on behalf of the unarmed protesters subjected to an "Israeli massacre" in Gaza.
