King Salman of Saudi Arabia took part in celebrations at the Janadriyah cultural festival in Riyadh on Tuesday.
He participated in the traditional Ardah sword dance, which used to be performed by men before going to war. It is nowadays performed during celebrations, such as weddings and national and cultural events.
King Salman was also seen conversing with well-known Saudi figures, including billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and Prince Miteb bin Abdullah — both of whom were released after being temporarily detained in an anti-corruption campaign.
Both men reached undisclosed settlements with the Saudi authorities.
