British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for donating “hundreds of thousands of medical gowns” to help the country fight the coronavirus pandemic.
In a tweet on Sunday, Mr Raab said the countries would continue to work together to tackle the outbreak.
The kingdom has already pledged $500 million (Dh1.83 billion) to international organisations to combat outbreaks of the virus.
Other GCC countries have also supplied aid to the UK to help it tackle the coronavirus.
This month, the UAE sent a plane carrying more than six tonnes of medical supplies to the UK.
Britain is one of the countries hit hardest by the coronavirus, with the third highest number of deaths after the US and Brazil.
It reported another 38 deaths on Monday, taking its total toll to 41,736.
In the past 24 hours, 1,056 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in the UK, taking the total to 296,857.
As of 9am on June 15, there were 6,866,481 tests, with 93,163 tests on June 14.

How to apply for a drone permit
- Individuals must register on UAE Drone app or website using their UAE Pass
- Add all their personal details, including name, nationality, passport number, Emiratis ID, email and phone number
- Upload the training certificate from a centre accredited by the GCAA
- Submit their request
