Young Emirati inventor Adeeb Al Blooshi toured Saadiyat Island on a visit to the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s construction site and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi’s inaugural exhibition, Seeing Through Light.
As part of the tour, 10-year-old Adeeb saw the latest construction milestones for the Louvre, such as its dome resting atop the museum’s four permanent piers.
Earlier this year, the young scientist went on a world tour to help him build on his previous inventions, which include a prosthetic limb for his father and a housework robot for his mother. The tour was organised by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Because of his work he was named by CNN as among the world’s most impressive young medical pioneers.
The boy and his father were greeted by Ali Al Mansoori, chairman of the Tourism Development Investment Company, the host, as well as the company’s senior representatives.
“The museum will not only be a leading institution of arts and culture, but we hope a place that inspires people to explore beyond any limits they thought existed. Adeeb has already shown this potential through his remarkable inventions, and we wish him continued success for the future,” Mr Al Mansoori said.
Adeeb said he was impressed at the development of Saadiyat Island and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. He also said that he adored the island’s transformation into the cultural milestone it is set to become.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
The rules on fostering in the UAE
A foster couple or family must:
- be Muslim, Emirati and be residing in the UAE
- not be younger than 25 years-of-age
- not have been convicted of offences or crimes involving moral turpitude
- be free of infectious diseases or psychological and mental disorders
- have the ability to support its members and the foster child financially
- undertake to treat and raise the child in a proper manner and take care of his/her health and well-being
- A single, divorced or widowed Muslim Emirati female, residing in the UAE may apply to foster a child if she is at least 30-years-old and able to support the child financially
