ABU DHABI // Gusty conditions persisted for a second day over Abu Dhabi, with winds reaching 30kph on Thursday morning.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology forecast the southeasterly winds to reach speeds of 38kph creating dusty and hazy conditions.
Motorists have been urged to exercise caution on the roads by the centre since visibility will be low.
Relative humidity is expected to rise during the night and early morning with temperatures reaching a high of 44°C in inland areas and 38°C on the coast.
The highest temperature recorded over the country yesterday was 43.4°C in Saih Al Salam just outside of Dubai World Central Airport with the lowest at 20.8°C over Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah.
The hazy and partly cloudy weather is to continue into Friday.
