UAE weather: partly cloudy over some areas today

ABU DHABI // Partly cloudy weather over some areas, with hazy windy conditions contributing to poor visibility, is expected across the country on Monday, the weather bureau has warned.

Residents can expect southeasterly to southwesterly winds of 18 to 23kph in the morning, increasing to 25kph over the sea.

Motorists are being warned of reduced visibility caused by dusty and windy conditions, with a significant drop in temperature, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.

In coastal areas, temperature will reach a high of between 34C and 37C and a low of 21C and 26C. Further inland, the maximum temperature will be high at 35C to 38C, and as low as 21C to 28C.

Relative humidity will increase during the the night and early morning over some areas. It is forecast to reach a maximum of 85 per cent over the coast and 75 per cent over inland areas.

The sea will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman sea.

Conditions are expected to remain the same on Tuesday, with another dip in temperature and a chance of fog over some internal and coastal areas.
