The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology said hail fell over Sharjah on Sunday afternoon, and there's a possibility of rain today.
Small hail pellets fell over Sharjah between 4:30pm and 5pm, a spokesman for the NCMS said. He said flashes of hail was common during this time of the year, as the seasons are changing.
Although there is a chance of convective clouds building up this afternoon over the eastern and southern areas of the country, rainfall is not yet on the radar, he said, noting this may change.
Early this morning, a fog warning was issued by the national weather centre for some internal areas. Residents of Sweihan, Liwa and other nearby areas were cautioned about poor visibility -- less than 1,000 metres -- between 4:30am and 8:30am.
Once the sun burns off the morning moisture, the NCMS said the country can expect “hot” conditions with partly cloudy and hazy skies over some areas at times.
The temperatures will peak at 44°C in the interior, 42°C along the coast, and 36°C in the mountains. Southeasterly to northeasterly winds blowing between about 12 to 28 km/h will keep the seas slight to moderate.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
