An accident on the E11 Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road, after Ghantoot, is causing delays for drivers heading towards Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Motorists heading in both directions have reported long tailbacks as the crash is cleared.
Another accident reported around 8.30am on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, after Mirdif City Centre heading towards Sharjah, was also causing congestion.
There is also congestion along the E311 near the Ministry of Health in Dubai due to a heavy build-up of traffic, and the usual rush hour traffic along Hessa Street heading towards Barsha Heights.
Drivers heading into Abu Dhabi should expect delays to their journey as heavy traffic builds up on the E10, just after Sheikh Zayed Bridge.
Slow moving traffic is building up along the Eastern Mangroves heading towards Mushrif Mall.

- Cecelia Crocker was on board Northwest Airlines Flight 255 in 1987 when it crashed in Detroit, killing 154 people, including her parents and brother. The plane had hit a light pole on take off
- George Lamson Jr, from Minnesota, was on a Galaxy Airlines flight that crashed in Reno in 1985, killing 68 people. His entire seat was launched out of the plane
- Bahia Bakari, then 12, survived when a Yemenia Airways flight crashed near the Comoros in 2009, killing 152. She was found clinging to wreckage after floating in the ocean for 13 hours.
