UAE traffic: cars at a standstill in Sharjah and slow in parts

Traffic was moving slowly in Dubai on a section of Ghweifat International Highway / Sheikh Zayed Road in the direction of Abu Dhabi due to an accident opposite the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai. Another accident further up the highway near Oasis Mall was also slowing traffic.

On Al Khail Road, an accident near Al Quoz Pond Park in the direction of Sharjah was slowing traffic for a significant stretch of the highway. Traffic was also slower on the other side in the direction of Abu Dhbai on Al Khail Road around the same area.

There were also tailbacks at the roundabout near Dubai World Trade Centre in the direction of Abu Dhabi, and again in Deira in the direction of Abu Dhabi, where traffic was at points, such as near Ansar Mall, at a standstill, and slow all the way past Al Mulla Plaza.

In Sharjah, traffic was a standstill near National Paints on the E311, and slower up to the Muhasnah area of Dubai.

In Abu Dhabi, there were tailbacks on the E22 road near Al Maqta Fort and Khor Al Maqta’a, and again, on the E10 near Mangrove National Park.
