Two speed cameras on the Al Dhaid-Sharjah Road were damaged by gunshots early on Wednesday morning.
The radars were placed between flyovers on the busy road. CID officers were dispatched to the scene to investigate, a security source told The National's Arabic-language sister newspaper, Al Ittihad.
Earlier this year 11 speed cameras were shot out in Sharjah.
Maj Gen Humaid Al Hudeidi, the Sharjah Police chief, had stated that all 11 speed cameras previously damaged had been fixed and were operational, noting that the culprit was yet to be identified but will be punished to the full extent of the law.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
