Two arrested in RAK over abortion-inducing and sex enhancement pills

RAK // Two Arab men have been arrested for selling large quantities of abortion-inducing drugs and sexual enhancement drugs.

A vast amount of pills were found at their homes, RAK Police CID said.

Lieutenant Colonel Khaled bin Faisal bin Salem Al Qasimi said the organised crime department received information about an Arab man selling Cytotec, a prescription drug that is used to induce abortion, via an online advert.

An investigation revealed that the suspect was acting as a delivery man for someone who lives in Ajman and who was arrested in cooperation with Ajman Police.

Lt Col Al Qasimi said his department closely monitors sales of banned drugs and substances online. He added that RAK Police co-ordinates with the Ministry of Health to control such drugs.

He urged people to exercise caution and avoid dealing with those peddling in drugs that may lead to serious health problems.
