DUBAI // Three traffic accidents were reported in Dubai with tailbacks reported across the emirates in industrial areas and near business districts.
The accidents included collisions near National Paints on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards Sharjah. The second accident also occurred on Mohammed bin Zayed Road leading to Al Manama Street near Dubai’s International City.
Another accident was reported on Al Khail Road near Hessa Street causing traffic to come to a standstill up to the Al Barsha exit towards Jebel Ali.
Traffic was reduced to a crawl near the Dubai Marina area near Dubai Marina Mall, Al Naseem Street near Media City, Jumeirah Village Circle near Hessa Street, on Al Yalayis Street in Jebel Ali Free Zone and on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road near Khawaneej and Muhaisnah areas.
In Abu Dhabi, heavy traffic was reported on the Mohammed Bin Khalifa Street junction with Al Karamah Street near the Umm Al Emarat Park, on Abu Baker Al Siddique Road near Al Rasheed Road.
In Sharjah, the industrial areas in Al Nahda were jammed with traffic as were the zones near the Corniche and near Al Yarmook.
Vehicles had slowed down on Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street near the Sharjah water treatment plant through to the Mega Mall area and on Al Ittihad Road near the GMC hospital.
