Traffic was slow across many roads in the UAE this morning as many returned to work after the long weekend.
In Sharjah, there were tailbacks on the Al Itihad Street, starting from Al Majaz Park and leading into Dubai, past Dubai International Airport up to Deira City Centre mall. A section of Al Khan Street running past the Adnoc petrol pump was also slow, while there were tailbacks on the roads surrounding Victoria International School and the Expo Centre Sharjah.
There were queues on Al Nahda Street passing the Sahara Centre and a stretch of the Sharjah Ring Road was slow past Safeer Mall down to Industrial Area Eight, and again on a stretch leading up to the turn for D62 Beirut Street. The problems continued on to Beirut Street up to the traffic lights at the Dubai Cattle Market.
There were also tailbacks on Al Khan Street, starting at the intersection with First Industrial Street. Traffic was also moving slowly on Al Dhaid Street, from Al Goaz right up to the Saif Free Zone.
Flow on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road was slow from Rifa'a in Sharjah right up to Mirdif City Centre in Dubai.
In Dubai, traffic was moving slowly on Hessa Street, starting at Nord Anglia International School and running up to past Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture. There were also tailbacks in Jebel Ali Industrial Area One in parts, including the Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road near the Expo 2020 site.
In Abu Dhabi, traffic was moving slowly on the Abu Dhabi-Sweihan-Al Hiyar Road leading up to Al Ghazal Golf Club, and it was slow on the Abu Dhabi to Al Ain road, starting near the UAE Armed Forces Camp and running past Sas Al Nakhl and up to Al Maqta Bridge. There were also tailbacks on Khaleej Al Arabi Street running past the Adnoc station.
