UAE traffic: delays in Abu Dhabi after crash on Salam Street

Motorists faced delays in Abu Dhabi on Sunday after a crash on Salam Street.

The accident happened inbound close to the Eastern Mangroves park with tailbacks stretching back to the Anantara hotel.

Salam Street is one of the capital's busiest and roadworks are also taking place around Sheikh Zayed Tunnel.

Elsewhere on the country's roads, it was reasonably free-flowing as commuters enjoy one more week before the school run returns.

The major approaches from Sharjah into Dubai remained busy all summer, however.

Motorists faced tailbacks on the E11 from Ansar Mall to Al Qiyadah Metro stop, while on the 311 it was heavy going from the industrial area down to the airport.
