Drivers faced delays in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning following an accident in Rashid bin Saeed Street.
The Integrated Transport Centre tweeted a warning to motorists to expect delays as the centre lane was blocked at about 7.30am on Mashaijar Street.
Commuters also faced backlog on Sheikh Zayed outbound at Sea Palace Tunnel around 7:15am.
Drivers hitting the road early in the capital had to contend with further hold ups as the Etihad Tunnel remain closed for roadworks until 5am.
In Dubai, drivers should expect congestion on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Production City and in Hessa Street into Barsha due to the usual heavy traffic build up from 8am.
