SHARJAH // Two people were killed and one was severely injured after a collision between two lorries on Emirates Road.
Sharjah Police said the two men, both Indian, were driving in the direction of Umm Al Quwain on Thursday morning when their lorry swerved and crossed the central barrier and hit another lorry travelling in the opposite direction head on.
The accident happened at 8.40am. The injured man was transferred to hospital to receive treatment.
The men who died were aged 40 and 27, said Sharjah police, who urged motorists to abide by speed limits and stay focused while travelling on highways, especially during peak times.
