Three killed after multi-vehicle crash in Dubai

Two women and a man were killed when their car burst into flames after a multi-vehicle crash in Dubai on Wednesday.

Police said the fatal incident occurred at about 4.40pm on Sheikh Zayed Road just past the Abu Dhabi border entering into Dubai.

Police and the ambulance service were dispatched to the scene.

The ages of the deceased – who are all of Asian descent – were not disclosed.

"The accident happened in the area after Parks and Resorts in the direction from Abu Dhabi to Dubai," said Brig Adel Al Suwaidi, head of Jebel Ali Police Station.

"One of the cars was burnt and all the people inside it died."

He urged drivers to adhere to speed limits, leave a safe distance between vehicles and pay due care and attention on the roads.
