Many heavy vehicles will not be allowed on Abu Dhabi roads during the peak hours of Ramadan.
Lorries and buses carrying workers have been banned between 8am and 10am and in the evening from 2pm to 4pm.
As for the laborers' transport buses with "more than 50 passengers", their road use is allowed from 8am to 10am.
Abu Dhabi Police announced the move on their social media channels on Tuesday.
The move is designed to allow smooth traffic flow during the holy month and prevent accidents.
Authorities urged drivers to follow the rules, reduce speed, wear safety belts and leave enough distance between cars.
