An Emirati man, 30, died on Sunday after he lost control of his vehicle, which then overturned on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in Sharjah. The incident was reported to police at 1.30pm and the victim was taken to Al Qasimi hospital, but died due to severe injuries. The accident occurred when the driver was speeding, causing his Nissan Patrol to swerve before it collided with another vehicle, then a lamppost and then caught fire. The driver was removed from the vehicle before it burst into flames. The body has been handed over to family for burial.
