SHARJAH // A 70-year-old Moroccan man was killed when he was hit by a car while crossing a busy road on Tuesday morning.
The police central operations received a call at 11.30am about the accident on Al Khan street near Al Qasba bridge. Traffic accident teams and emergency crews were sent but the man died of his injuries at the scene.
His body was taken to Kuwaiti hospital before being handed over to his family.
The police did not release information regarding the driver of the vehicle involved, however they said that the case file has been transferred to the appropriate departments to complete legal procedures.
Officers urged pedestrians to use extreme caution when crossing roads and to only use the designated areas.
