Parking will be free of charge on Tuesday, January 1 across Dubai to celebrate the New Year.
All paid parking zones will be without charge, except at multi-level car parks, until Wednesday January 2.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority made the announcement on Wednesday along with adjusted timetables for public transport.
Dubai Metro:
From Monday, December 31, Red Line stations will operate from 5am to midnight the following day. Green Line stations will also run until midnight but start at 5.30am.
Dubai Tram:
The tram will operate from 6am to 1am on Monday and Tuesday.
Dubai Bus:
From January 1, main bus stations such as Gold Souk will be open from 4.25am until 12.29am the next day. Al Ghubaiba Station will be open from 4.14am to 12.33am the next day.
Sub-stations such as Al Satwa will open from 5am until 11pm. Route C01 from Al Satwa will continue to operate round-the-clock.
Bus services will run from Al Qusais Station from 5am on January 1 to 11.45pm, and at Al Quoz Industrial Station from 5am to 11.35pm.
The service from Jebel Ali Station will start at 5am and finish at 11.30pm.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
