Dubai Police has added yet another supercar to its fleet of luxury patrol vehicles. The sleek Maserati GranTurismo has a 4.7-litre, V8 engine and can reach speeds of up to 300kmph. The addition brings the number of Dubai Police supercars to 15, including a McLaren MP4-12C, a Bugatti Veyron and an Aston Martin One-77 - one of only 77 ever made. “[The] Maserati GranTurismo joins our fleet of patrols,” Dubai Police announced on Twitter on Wednesday. The city introduced its first ultra-fast patrol car, the Lamborghini Aventador, back in 2013, and has since gone on to add to its collection. The force’s $2million Bugatti Veyron was awarded a Guinness World Record for the fastest police car in the world in 2017, having displaced a Lamborghini Gallardo in operation in Italy. With a top speed of 400kmph, the Bugatti is capable of driving from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in 20 minutes.
