A delivery biker has died after being hit from behind by a vehicle in Dubai.
Police said the man, who has not been identified, was stationary at a traffic light on Al Wasl road when the incident happened.
Officers from Dubai Police’s control room dispatched paramedics to the scene at 9.30pm on Tuesday.
The victim, from Asia, died on arrival at hospital.
“The driver was taken into custody” said director of Bur Dubai Police station, Brig Abdullah Khadem Bin Suroor.
"During questioning, it turned out that he was under the influence of alcohol."
Officers said the man had been referred to public prosecutors.
