Travel between the emirates is allowed as long as residents are off the roads and indoors between 10pm and 6am, police have said.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi police confirmed the move, which paves the way for personal and business travel - and staycations.
The country's hotel industry was slowly opening this week ahead of the Eid Al Fitr holidays and as hotels began to open with some restrictions.
Travel is not permitted between 10pm and 6am and people must be indoors wherever they are.
"Travelling between emirates is allowed. It does not matter where the person stays between 10pm and 6am as long as they are indoors," an Abu Dhabi police official said.
Dubai Police confirmed there were no restrictions on movement, which were eased last Friday.
“People can travel from one emirate to another but should stay indoors from 10pm until 6am during the disinfection period,” police said.
He urged residents to stay at home where possible, but confirmed there was no legal penalty for being away from home.
Police in Ras Al Khaimah - a popular adventure and staycation destination - confirmed the same.
The National contacted a number of hotels across the country.
Some will remain closed for another month, or until further notice, but others have resumed operations while following safety guidelines.
Most hotels in Abu Dhabi and Dubai that were taking bookings only offered in-room dining options with no access to facilities including swimming pools, beach and gym.
Fairmont Ajman and Waldorf Astoria RAK were among those open to guests and with restaurants and bars open until the evening curfew.

Conflict, drought, famine
Estimates of the number of deaths caused by the famine range from 400,000 to 1 million, according to a document prepared for the UK House of Lords in 2024.
