Abu Dhabi buses and taxis are undergoing deep cleans daily to tackle the spread of coronavirus.

Buses and taxis are thoroughly wiped down before and after use and taxi drivers must sanitise their cars after each journey.

Bus shelters are to be cleaned every two hours, according to a video shared by Abu Dhabi Government Media Office.

All school vehicles have undergone deep cleaning and will not be used until schools return next month.

Earlier this week, Dubai's transport authority said it had sanitised its public taxi fleet and that drivers were given basic masks and gloves.

All e-scooters - which have become popular on the Corniche - must be wiped down every hour to prevent the spread of germs.
