All Dubai vehicle testing centres under RTA authority

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, on Sunday issued an order placing all vehicle test centres and vehicle inspection procedures in Dubai under the jurisdiction of the Roads and Transport Authority.

The RTA is now authorised to define the licensing and inspection procedures of all the centres as well as their conditions and the technical requirements.

The decree will also see the authority placed in charge of issuing, renewing and amending the centres’ licences as well as issuing them penalties for any breaches.
