AJMAN // The driver of a Ferrari was injured when he lost control of the sports car at high speed, causing a six-car accident.
The Gulf national in his 20s was driving on Al Rawda bridge on Sheikh Zayed Road in Ajman on Tuesday evening when he suddenly swerved and hit five vehicles, including a bus carrying 50 passengers. An Asian man was also hurt in the crash.
Police patrols, ambulances and civil defence teams were dispatched to the scene to transport the injured to hospital.
The head of traffic and patrols at Ajman Police, Major Saif Al Falassi, said the accident led to traffic congestion in the area that required police intervention.
Major Al Falassi urged motorists and road users to drive carefully and observe traffic rules and regulations.
