Heavy vehicles and lorries are banned from entering Abu Dhabi roads in the morning of the first day of Eid Al Fitr.
Abu Dhabi Police said lorries and buses carrying 50 workers or more will be prohibited from entering the city between 1am and noon on Monday, May 2.
This includes all major roads and streets, including Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, Mussafah Bridge and Al Maqta Bridge.
Logistical support vehicles and rubbish collection companies will be allowed.
Police said that patrols will be increased on all roads and the traffic movement will be monitored through smart systems.
They urged drivers to follow rules to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce accidents.
