AL AIN // Al Ain Zoo last night launched its evenings of children's activities as part of its summer programme.

Two lions were rescued and rehabilitated by the AWPR after they were found with their claws and canines removed.

Throughout the summer, children who visit the zoo every Wednesday on "Family Nights" can watch cartoons, play sports and jump on a bouncy castle.
Ten different sports are offered, including football, golf and volleyball. A large screen has been erected in a picnic area next to a train station for cartoon films, which will begin at 8pm. Other activities include face-painting, henna, arts and crafts, and other educational activities.
Several treats, including popcorn and candyfloss, will also be available.
"A visit to the zoo is about learning about the animals, but also enjoying being active and spending time with families," said Saif Al Dhaheri, the head of guest relations at the zoo.
"Games and cartoon movies offer something for everyone, and are a great option for families looking for fun evenings out as the summer holidays begin this July."
The activities tailored to families start at 6pm. The fun nights will discontinue during Ramadan and return after Eid.
The zoo is open from 4pm to 10pm every day, but those times will change during Ramadan, when the zoo will be open from 6pm to midnight.
The Holy Month is expected to begin on August 1.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
