Sheikh Mohammed flies helicopter in rare YouTube video

A rare video showing UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid flying a helicopter over Dubai in the 1970s has been posted on his new YouTube channel.

The footage shows Sheikh Mohammed flying over a Dubai without skyscrapers, a few roads, and great expanses of sand, before he lands the chopper and shares coffee with a group of people.

Sheikh Mohammed last month became the first leader in the Arab World to launch a YouTube channel.

In January, he was listed as one of the 100 most influential Arabs on Twitter. He has tweeted as @HHShkMohd since June 2009 and has more than 680,000 followers, recently keeping them updated on the birth of his son and posting photos of himself donating blood.
