Seven Emiratis involved in a two-car collision in Oman on Saturday have been airlifted to a UAE hospital for further treatment upon the orders of President Sheikh Khalifa.
It is the third such incident in the past week.
A statement from the Ministry of Interior said the victims, four of whom sustained "severe to moderate injuries", had been admitted to the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah after the accident, which occurred in the southern Maqshan province.
The dispatched airplane carried an interior ministry officer and medical staff from the Health Authority-Abu Dhabi.
UAE officials had earlier urged Emirati motorists driving their vehicles to other GCC nations to be vigilant on the road to pre-empt any surprises.
Brig Gen Ghaith Al Zaabi, head of traffic coordination at the ministry, renewed his call for motorists to "take into consideration the different traffic environments outside the UAE in terms of the nature of the road and local traffic regulations".
Last week, seven Emirati members of the same Al Ain family perished in a road crash in Salalah. On Thursday, four more Emiratis were injured in a rollover accident.
Brig Gen Al Zaabi noted there was "ongoing coordination with Omani counterparts to determine the factors and causes that led to these accidents and work towards curbing those factors as much as possible".

In the village of Mevagissey in southwest England the housing stock has doubled in the last century while the number of residents is half the historic high. The rules on fostering in the UAE
A foster couple or family must:
- be Muslim, Emirati and be residing in the UAE
- not be younger than 25 years old
- not have been convicted of offences or crimes involving moral turpitude
- be free of infectious diseases or psychological and mental disorders
- have the ability to support its members and the foster child financially
- undertake to treat and raise the child in a proper manner and take care of his or her health and well-being
- A single, divorced or widowed Muslim Emirati female, residing in the UAE may apply to foster a child if she is at least 30 years old and able to support the child financially
