ABU DHABI // Those who argue and start fights will lose the rewards of the most important night of Ramadan, worshippers will be warned today (Fri).
Laylat Al Qadr (Night of the Destiny or Night of Power), during which the Quran was revealed, is believed to fall on one of the odd numbered final 10 nights of Ramadan.
The Prophet Mohammed had been on his way to inform Muslims of when it fell, but forgot to when he found two of his companions arguing at the mosque.
The sermon refers to the Prophet's wife Aisha asking him what prayers she should say on Laylat Al Qadr. He told her to say: "O Allah, Thou art forgiving and lovest forgiveness, so forgive me."
Another significant aspect of Laylat Al Qadr is that the angel Gabriel descends only on this night. Worshipping on Laylat Al Qadr is equivalent to worshipping for 83 years.
The sermon sites a Quranic Surah titled Al Qadr: "Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Power. Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is! The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees. (The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn."

- undertake to treat and raise the child in a proper manner and take care of his or her health and well-being
- A single, divorced or widowed Muslim Emirati female, residing in the UAE may apply to foster a child if she is at least 30 years old and able to support the child financially
