Security guard cleared of sexually assaulting one of his staff

DUBAI // A security guard has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting one of his staff.

Indian AM, 48, denied the charge at Dubai Criminal Court last month.

The female security guard, BA, told police that AM had constantly asked her to be his girlfriend.

When she refused, he suspended her from work for a month.

“I reported him but no action was taken,” said BA.

She added that AM had asked her to meet on July 1 last year to pay her salary and picked her up in his car.

“When I sat next to him, he touched my thighs and breast and other parts of my body. I pushed his hand away and then he asked me why had I rejected his offer to become his mistress,” said BA.

She told prosecutors he had been molesting her for more than a month.

Kenyan security guard NN 33, said that AM molested her colleague in front of her. “He drives us home after work in the company car. I was sitting in the back seat and BA in the front seat when he touched her breasts and thighs. She immediately pushed his hand back and angrily shouted at him and told him that she is a respected married woman and doesn’t want a relationship with him.”

The Kenyan security guard claimed that AM got angry when she turned him down and suspended her from work.

BA said that she confronted him but he told her that he is her boss and he can do whatever he likes.

Reasons for the acquittal were not made clear in records.
