Abu Dhabi Police arrested a salesman accused of memorising customers’ credit-card details and using them to go on an internet shopping spree.
The salesman, a Sri Lankan, worked for “a prestigious retail company” and police say he confessed to using his “photographic memory” to memorise the information.
A team from the Organised Crime Section identified the IP address of the man, who had been buying iPhones.
The items were seized from his home and police are making an inventory of other items bought with the allegedly stolen funds.
