RAK Special Forces put on display at graduation

RAS AL KHAIMAH // Six female officers were among 33 Special Forces members who recently graduated from RAK Police’s security patrols course.

The officers took part in the two-and-half month training course at RAK Police General Command where they learnt practical and theoretical skills, fitness, self-defence and how to use weapons, specifically Tasers.

They were also trained how to arrest suspects, carry out raids and inspections and protect VIPs. The officers put on a display of their new skills at the graduation.

“The general command is keen on doing specialised and varied training courses that are designed according to the highest and latest international training standards in the field of security and police, and keeping up with the newest developments in combating crime,” said Maj Gen Ali Al Nuaimi, commander-in-chief of RAK Police.

Gen Al Nuaimi praised top-performing officers Bilal Al Balooshi, Ibrahim Mohammed, Marwan Mohammed and Sukaina Al Balooshi for excelling in training.

He also honoured officer Abdulaziz Murad for his first place in shooting competitions and Tarek Khalid for topping the fitness charts.
