A permanent tribute to the UAE's Founding Father Sheikh Zayed will be unveiled to the public next week on Abu Dhabi's Corniche.
The Founder's Memorial will be inaugurated on Monday in an official ceremony in the capital.
The UAE community can look forward to watching the broadcast of the official inauguration ceremony on all major national TV channels, state news agency Wam reported.
Viewers can also stream the event online while audiences can follow @FounderMemorial on Facebook and Instagram for further details. The broadcast stream will begin at 9.30pm.
The Founder's Memorial will be inaugurated with an unveiling of a monumental artwork, the site's centrepiece, to coincide with the commencement of the Year of Zayed– a national year of commemoration declared by Sheikh Khalifa, President of the UAE, to mark 100 years since the birth of Sheikh Zayed.

This year, the nation will celebrate the late leader’s unparalleled role in establishing the UAE federation, and his local, regional and international achievements.
Scheduled to open for public in the spring season this year, the Founder's Memorial will offer visitors a chance to understand the personality of the late Sheikh Zayed as a man and a leader, enabling people to gain a deeper understanding of his life, legacy and values, Wam reported.
Learning about Sheikh Zayed through art, landscape, words, stories, and rare footage, visitors to the site can look forward to a dynamic, informative and inspirational experience.
Located at the intersection of 1st and 2nd street in Abu Dhabi, 3.3 hectares of space will become a place for reflection and celebration of the nation's history and heritage, Wam added.
