A lorry driver was flown to hospital after being severely injured in a crash in Ras Al Khaimah.
The man, in his thirties, was involved in a collision between his lorry and another one on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road.
Emergency services went the scene and the man was taken to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Umm Al Quwain.
Last week, three people died and another three were injured in a collision between two buses in Abu Dhabi.
Three more people were killed in another accident last week when a drunk driver crashed head-on with another car while driving the wrong way along Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed road in Umm Al Quwain.
