Man airlifted to hospital after crash

DUBAI // A man had to be airlifted from a crash scene on Wednesday afternoon after he rear-ended a car with his motorbike.

The Egyptian was taken by helicopter to Rashid Hospital shortly after the incident occurred, at 4pm.

A spokesman for Dubai Police said the man suffered moderate injuries.

“The driver of the motorbike hit a car in the rear because he didn’t observe the minimum safety distance with the car in front,” the spokesman said.

The accident took place on Sheikh Zayed Road, near Dubai Marina.
