The country's leaders are to attend a special meeting to focus on the UAE Centennial 2071 this week, as the country sets out long term goals for its development.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai, wrote on Twitter on Saturday the first will be held on Tuesday.
The two-day meetings will be led by Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and attended by federal and local government bodies.
“Me and my brother Mohammed bin Zayed will head next Tuesday to the UAE government annual meeting for two days and will discuss the country’s march towards its centennial,” said Sheikh Mohammed.
“Developing capabilities, policies and future services will be the focus of our discussion, as well as the formulation of the country’s future infrastructure plans as a key priority.

The state news agency, Wam has recently reported that the first meeting will develop a plan for the next five decades to achieve the goals, which include creating a flexible government, investing in education and advanced technology, establishing a diversified economy and instilling values of tolerance in society.
