A housemaid and a construction worker were both killed yesterday morning in separate falls in Sharjah.
The housemaid was on her first day of work when she fell from a ninth-floor verandah of the City Plaza building in front of Buhairah police station in Al Majjaz.
The housemaid was identified as an Indonesian in her 20s. A little later, police were told that scaffolding had collapsed beneath a 27-year-old Pakistani at a building under construction on Buhairah corniche.
The Sharjah public prosecutor ordered that the two bodies be taken to the police forensic laboratory.
