The UAE reported 2,105 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, the lowest figure in February for the second consecutive day.
Recoveries outstripped new infections, as a further 3,355 patients received the all-clear.
There are now 8,338 active cases of Covid-19 in the UAE – the lowest number since the beginning of the year.
Another 15 patients died due to complications, increasing the number of deaths to 1,140.
The total tally of Covid-19 infections since the outbreak of the pandemic now stands at 372,530, with 363,052 patients having beaten the virus.
The Emirates carried out 156,430 tests in the past 24 hours. More than 29.5 million tests have been conducted since the beginning of the pandemic.
On Monday, Dubai increased its daily Covid-19 testing capacity after the emirate’s health authority opened two new centres.
The Dubai Health Authority said new facilities at the Al Safa Health Centre and Nad Al Sheba Centre for Ladies are now open to the public.
PCR tests can now be done at these 10 DHA centres: Al Rashidiya Majlis, Jumeirah 1 Port Majlis, Al Nasr Club, Nad Al Sheba Centre for Ladies, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, Nad Al Hamar, Al Mankhool, Al Twar, Al Lusaily and Al Safa.
On Sunday, Dubai received a new consignment of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
It will be distributed among government clinics.
The authority's inoculation campaign is currently focusing on elderly residents, people with chronic diseases who have a valid Dubai visa and essential workers in the public and private sectors.
Authorities in the UAE have also approved Sinopharm's vaccine for general use and the Oxford-AstraZeneca and Sputnik V shots for emergency use.
As of Sunday, 5,554,342 doses of vaccine had been administered to the public, representing 56.16 doses per 100 people.

What is a virtual bank?
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority defines it as a bank that delivers services through the internet or other electronic channels instead of physical branches. That means not only facilitating payments but accepting deposits and making loans, just like traditional ones. Other terms used interchangeably include digital or digital-only banks or neobanks. By contrast, so-called digital wallets or e-wallets such as Apple Pay, PayPal or Google Pay usually serve as intermediaries between a consumer’s traditional account or credit card and a merchant, usually via a smartphone or computer.
What’s the draw in Asia?
