The UAE recorded 1,810 cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, with the number of new infections under 2,000 for three days in a row.
These new cases brought the country's overall tally to 483,747. Another 1,652 people beat the virus, taking total recoveries to 468,456.
Two more died people from complications arising from Covid-19, bringing the death toll to 1,531.
The number of daily cases have been declining since they edged towards 4,000 in January.
Mass testing and one of the world's fastest vaccination programmes have been key to curbing the pandemic.
The UAE on Sunday reported that it had conducted 242,415 tests over the previous 24 hours – taking the total number of tests to more than 40 million.
Authorities also administered 30,430 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine crossing the nine million threshold.
At least 9,005,444 doses have been given, which represents a rate of 91.05 doses per 100 people.
There has also been a fall in daily death rates, which peaked at 20 on February 3.
Meanwhile, religious leaders are thankful that mosques will be open this Ramadan, in line with Covid-19 safety measures.
In 2020, mosques remained closed throughout Ramadan. A year on, hope is on the horizon, thanks to the rollout of vaccination campaigns.
