Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has praised one of the heroes of the UAE's frontline fight against Covid-19 – a dedicated nurse juggling family life with 12-hour days.
Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, shared a video telling the inspirational story of Asma Al Shehi.
Ms Al Shehi cares for her patients and her baby at home.
UAE leaders have been quick to demonstrate their gratitude for the work carried out by medics across the Emirates during the coronavirus outbreak.
In a call to Rashid Hospital last month, Sheikh Mohammed told Dr Sara Kazim, head of the emergency department, that he was proud of medical teams' response to the pandemic.
"We are proud of you and proud of all our doctors, nurses, paramedics and healthcare professionals," he said.
"You are on the front line of our nation’s defence against the epidemic and you are fulfilling a great and noble mission, but it isn’t done yet."
His sentiments were echoed by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
"My sincerest thanks and appreciation to the medical staff, from the youngest employee to the oldest, who stood in the first line of defence and in the front rows," Sheikh Mohamed said.
"We are indebted to them and will never forget their work."
