The Crown Prince of Dubai said the UAE is eager to aid international efforts to "benefit humankind" as he prepared to lead the country's delegation at the World Economic Forum. The 49th global gathering of political, business and media leaders in Davos, Switzerland, gets under way on Tuesday, with the opportunities and challenges presented by rapid advancements in technology high on the agenda. Writing on Twitter, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said the “UAE is keen to contribute to the enhancement of international co-operation and global efforts that aim to benefit humankind. “It is thus essential to support platforms such as the World Economic Forum that seek to tackle future global challenges.” UAE will participate in 10 sessions at the forum, focusing on key areas including the economy, advanced science, space, artificial intelligence, environment and entrepreneurship. Dr Zeyoudi will be taking part in a number of sessions, including the "Informal Gathering of Global Economic Leaders: Avoiding Global Warming". More than 3,000 business leaders, entrepreneurs, economists, financial experts, government and representatives of the private sector and universities will attend the event.
