Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, visited the Legislations Lab on Sunday.
During his visit, he witnessed the issuance of the first licence to prepare legislation for distance learning.
The concept for the Legislation Lab was announced by President Sheikh Khalifa last year. The lab aims to create a reliable and transparent environment where new or existing legislation can be developed, with input from lawmakers and business leaders, reported state news agency Wam.
"The Legislations Lab ensures our vision in the race towards the future,” Sheikh Mohammed said. “We won’t work to develop futuristic legislations in the UAE only, but we will export it to the world to benefit from it.”
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed, Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, and Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education.

Evacuations to France hit by controversy
- Over 500 Gazans have been evacuated to France since November 2023
