Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, exchanged Eid greetings on Monday.
Both leaders discussed boosting the friendly relations between the two countries.
"We discussed enhancing bilateral ties as well as key global developments, especially Covid-19 and the importance of co-ordinating efforts to tackle the virus and its repercussions," Sheikh Mohamed tweeted.
The Indian leader wished the UAE and its people well.
Sheikh Mohamed thanked Mr Modi for his good gesture and wished continuous progress for the people of India.
Sheikh Mohamed also spoke with the Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, on Monday.
"I offered my sincere condolences to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan for the victims of Friday's plane crash, a tragic loss of many innocent lives," he said.
"We also discussed bilateral ties and regional and international issues of mutual interest."

Normcore explained
Something of a fashion anomaly, normcore is essentially a celebration of the unremarkable.
