Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed was spotted waving at riders competing in the UAE Tour in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
The chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office and member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council stood in a plaza outside Qasr Al Hosn, cheering and waving at the cyclists.
UAE Tour said they were honoured to have Sheikh Khalid watch them on the course.
The seven-day race began on Sunday, February 21, and ended on Saturday.
Riders passed Sheikh Khalid in the seventh and final stage of the race, known at the Yas Island stage.
Riders started from Yas Mall and ended the 147-kilometre stage of the race at Abu Dhabi's Breakwater.
On Friday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, waved off riders at the starting line of the 165km sixth stage in which participants cycled across the emirate.
UAE Team Emirates’ Tour de France winner Tadej Pogacar was named overall winner of the UAE Tour on Saturday.
