Ras Al Khaimah royal Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Qasimi dies

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of Ras Al Khaimah's royal family, died on Sunday.

The Ruler's Court announced his death in a statement expressing its deepest condolences to the Al Qasimi family.

Sheikh Hamad was the uncle of the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi.

He was in his 80s.

Funeral prayers will be performed on Monday morning at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ras Al Khaimah. The body will then be taken to be buried at Al Qawasim cemetery.

Official mourning was declared in Ras Al Khaimah for three days beginning Monday, July 2.
